How HeadshotPack works — the honest version
No magic, no mystery. Here is exactly what happens to your photos, what model renders your headshots, and what we can and cannot promise.
1. Your selfies are the identity reference
You upload 3–6 phone photos of yourself. More angles, expressions, and lighting conditions give the model a better picture of what you actually look like. We check the basics client-side (resolution, file type) and coach you toward good source photos — the output can only be as faithful as the input.
2. The model
Headshots are rendered by Google's Gemini image model (the "Nano Banana Pro" generation) via the official Gemini API — currently the strongest publicly available model at preserving a specific person's identity from reference photos. Each headshot is one model call that receives your selfies plus a detailed photography brief (lighting rig, lens, wardrobe, backdrop) written for that style.
3. Identity preservation — the whole point
Every prompt we send leads with identity: same facial structure, same eyes, nose, mouth, skin tone, hair, glasses, facial hair — and explicitly forbids beautifying, slimming, or de-aging you beyond light professional retouching. A headshot that doesn't look like you is worthless, so this is the highest-priority instruction in every generation. It is still an AI model: occasional shots miss. That's why every pack includes free re-rolls.
4. Privacy — enforced, not promised
Uploads and outputs are stored as private objects (never publicly addressable) and served only to your signed-in session. Your photos are never used to train models — not by us, and generation runs through Google's API under its API data-handling terms. We never sell or share them.
5. Deletion is one click
Every session page has a delete action that permanently removes the source photos AND the generated images from storage — bytes first, database rows second. No "deletion request forms".
6. What we are not
HeadshotPackis not a photographer and doesn't claim to be one. A great photographer directing you in person will beat an AI render. What we offer: 90% of that polish for roughly 10% of the price, in minutes instead of weeks — good enough that your LinkedIn photo stops costing you opportunities.
